Spinal Manipulation
Spinal manipulation is a technique targeting the joints of the spine used to improve pain, range of motion, and improve nerve function. It’s used as a tool to achieve reduced pain quickly and not as a maintenance activity.
Joint Mobilization
Joint mobilization involves the passive movement of specific joints using the skilled application of force, direction, and technique. We use our hands to mobilize an affected joint, or may elect to use certain tools, including straps, to help deliver the desired treatment effect.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release involves gentle yet firm pressure to specific areas along the body to “release” the tension and stress within targeted treatment areas. It helps to restore normal movement, relieve pain, and reduce your risk of further tissue damage.
Massage/Soft Tissue Mobilization
Soft tissue mobilization can be one of the most effective healing tools for dealing with a sudden injury, chronic pain, or post-surgical issues. The focus of STM is to improve acute pain, increase mobility, and allow therapy to progress to more active, self-reliant treatments.
